Jungle Endurance Course Tests Marines   Leave a comment

CAMP GONSALVES, OKINAWA, Japan — More than 70 Marines from Battery B, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, took on the Jungle Warfare Training Center’s 3.8 mile Jungle Endurance Course Oct. 21 on Camp Gonsalves. The course consisted of obstacles that required Marines to work as individuals and others that required a team effort to complete. Marines endured dense jungle and rugged terrain slickened with water while bounding down hasty rappels, pushing through rope and water obstacles and swimming muddied trenches laced with barbed wire.
